ASC Competition and Race Swimming

Race Opportunities

Australind Swimming Club offers competition opportunities for all levels of squad swimmers. Swimmers have the opportunity to participate in a range of competitions throughout the year and more information can be found here.

Long course – This season runs from October to April. Competition events are held in a 50m, long-course pool.

Short course – This season runs from May to September. Competition events are held in a 25m, short-course pool.

Annual registration for Australind Swimming Club occurs in October. This includes registration with Swimming Australia. Swimmers can choose to register for both Long Course and Short Course seasons, or select to sign up for just one season.

All Meet entries are submitted online at My Swim Results (Swimmers must be a full member of ASC & SWA to enter).

Competitions

  • Competitions are run in Perth and throughout the regional areas on weekends throughout the year. Swimming WA website provides a calendar of these events and club target meets are on the events calendar on our website.
  • Swimmers are encouraged to attend ‘Away Competition’s’ as part of their regime to utilize the skills and techniques learnt during training and to improve their personal best times and competition ability
  • Swimmers are able to attend as an individual generally with other members of the club attending also
  • There is a Club events which are based on selection criteria.  Country Pennants which is the ‘country week’ of swimming and is held in a regional centre in Western Australia on the March long weekend.
  • Swimmers are encouraged to work on skills, techniques, times and commitment to be eligible for selection for these events.
Australind Swimming Club is a competitive swimming club. Time trials are held throughout the season and are listed on the events calendar on our website. Swimmers are encouraged to nominate for the events outlined in the program, allowing them to practise the skills and techniques developed in training while working towards improving their personal best times.
