We have been fortunate in that the Leschenault Leisure Centre have been able to accommodate an earlier training time for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday training sessions, training for these sessions will now be at 6pm. We understand this is late notice and that some families may not read this before their child’s next session so could members please pass this information onto to anyone they feel may be unaware of the change in time.
Could all GWD swimmers and parents arriving before 6pm please be considerate of those swimmers and spectators who will be finishing their LLC squad sessions at 6pm by following the below procedure:
Swimmers are to arrive at least 10 minutes prior to 6pm so they can be ready for a 6pm start.
Please place your bags and items along the wall towards the deep end of the pool so as not to interrupt the Sport Centres Swim Sessions which will be operating until 6pm.
At 6pm and only after this time, collect your kickbags from the cage and setup on the pool edge at the shallow end of the pool ready for your lesson and further instruction from your coach.
Again we apologise in advance for the short notice but the earlier time is more beneficial to our younger swimmers.

Binningup cancelled
Unfortunately due to small numbers we have decided to cancel the Binningup Camp on the 22nd February.
We are disappointed to cancel the camp as this initiative from the coaches was to encourage all swimmers to spend time together outside the pool with the intention of extending friendships across all squad. This was a positive reflection of the dedication of our coaches to the club and their swimmers.
We do understand that this is a busy time of the year and we hope to look at a date that may be more accommodating to families schedules and again encourage all swimmers to take up this opportunity. Thank you to the support from those families who volunteered their time to attend and we look forward to getting a few more numbers when we look at a new date.
